Motu Proprio Status

Fr. Z over at What does Prayer Really Say offers us an update on the status of the Motu Proprio. Apparently the document is currently in the office of Latin Letters, which means that it has already been signed and is ready for promulgation. I think this is great news for those who have an affinity for the Mass of Pope Pius V.
Honestly, I don’t really have a great attachment to the "Old Mass." I have only attended it once and didn’t find an exceptional pull towards it. My lack of attachment is most probably due to my lack of experience with it. As it stands, for me the most beautiful Mass I have ever attended has been the Anglican Use Liturgy at Our Lady of Walsingham in Houston. I make it a point when in Houston to make it by business to attend Mass there. A close second is the Mass of Pope Paul VI with the ordinary of the Mass in Latin and the Mass said Ad Orientem. I have experienced this in a few places and I find it to be the most authentic interpretation of what Pope Paul VI wanted. This liturgy is very similar to that Anglican Use Liturgy and, of course, the Anglican Use doesn’t use the corrupted ICEL translation. Whenever I attend the Anglican Use Liturgy I can only say to myself "Aah, this is way it should be!"
The good news is that soon the new and highly improved ICEL translation should be released soon, but of course, Bishop Donald Troutman (or as a friend of mine says, to be politically correct, Bishop Fish Person) doesn’t approve
